Capitole

The Capitole is a vandal-proof waste container with a light inner container and click-connection for rapid and ergonomic emptying. The designer, Bas Pruyser, was awarded the Kho Liang 1st prize in 1981 from the “Stichting Amsterdams fonds voor de kunst” (Amsterdam Foundation – Funds for Art).
The Capitole has been awarded ioN-recognition for good industrial design.

Designs: Capitole with thermally galvanised stand, with or without concrete base. Capitole with stainless-steel stand. Capitole with base plate.

The Capitole and the thermally galvanised stands can be powder-coated in virtually any desired "colour".

Accessories: black coated ashtray with white cigarette symbol to click into the insert-opening, galvanised wall plate, galvanised mounting plate for attaching an existing pole, "battery-insert", dog-droppings flap with dog leash hook on stand and an anti-fire flap.

Volume: approx. 50 litres.

Construction materials: outer container 1.5 and 2 mm galvanised steel, inner container 1 mm sendzimir galvanised steel with reversed top edge.

Finish: powder-coating with layer thickness 70-75 μm.

Weight: outer container 16 kg, stand without concrete base 10 kg, concrete base 97 kg, stop-pole without concrete base 24 kg.

Lock: triangular click-lock in side of door.
